Respect the Chain of Command?
This is a response to Fox New’s and News Nation’s video about Green Berets training Mexican military. In this case, “Ignorant Peasants” are American consumers. (We can hardly call ourselves citizens, since we’re not doing the work of learning about civics. So… we’re consumers, not really citizens.)
All major US media outlets:
“Here, ignorant peasants… Pay attention to the border while Musk, an unelected Nazi, consolidates power and dismantles your government from the inside. “
Amateur Ethicist Response:
Congress, too addicted to corporate bribes and their cushy benefits, won’t fight back.
Soon, Musk will cut off their franking privileges and email accounts altogether, making their irrelevance official. Meanwhile, Trump—immune, untouchable, and utterly useless—plays the role of loud, rambling distraction while real power shifts to billionaire overlords.
This isn’t politics. This is a hostile corporate takeover of the United States. The Constitution is being shredded in real-time, and the world is already moving on, making plans without America.
But don’t worry—just keep watching the circus.
We are living a poorly directed movie with an obvious plot and ridiculous subplots, yet we voyeuristically eat the popcorn and watch from the sidelines. We do nothing.
Congress – reclaim your authority before it is ripped out from under you. Do it now before Führer Musk makes you obsolete.
About the image:
The closest Russian term that carried similar authoritarian connotations to the WWII German term “Führer” would be “Вождь” (Vozhd), which was particularly associated with Stalin’s cult of personality. Like Führer, Вождь went beyond just meaning “leader” – it implied supreme, almost mystical leadership and was used in propaganda to elevate Stalin to an almost divine status as “Вождь народов” (Vozhd narodov – Leader of Peoples).
Musk gave two Nazi salutes at a recent Trump victory rally. Two. There can be no denying he is an avowed Nazi. His actions tell us so. The image is made to look like cold-war USSR propaganda because there seems to be a coalition of interest between Russian politicians and US corporate interests in taking down America. I thought it would make an interesting and at this point unfortunately moot juxtaposition.
We fought a war against Nazis before. WWII ended 80 years ago, yet now these same people are running our country. Gentle reader, what are you going to do about it?
